GOOD LUCK MACBETH THEATRE CO. & HOMESLICE PRODUCTIONS PRESENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Chris Daniels, Managing Director, GLM (248) 231-9816 [email protected] “The Game Show Show”, Reno’s premier parody game show, debuted as part of Good Luck Macbeth Theatre Company’s 2014 Season. Now, back by popular demand, “The Game Show Show” returns with a new spin on classic game shows they’ve named “Reno Squares” and “The Money Pyramid”. The Game Show Show, created, co-produced, and hosted by Jessica Levity of Homeslice Productions, stars Reno’s most popular comedy troupe, The Utility Players, alongside a variety of other talented Reno celebrities, “celebrities”, theater personalities, and characters-in-general. “Game shows are a great opportunity to share the stage with a multitude of people in this town who can make me laugh until it hurts,” shares Levity. “As soon as I released our “Now Casting” campaign, I received an onslaught of emails from local talent hoping to be featured as center square in Reno Squares, or as a contestant battling for silly prizes.” The final cast list for the run of the second annual Game Show Show will be released in late January. With a 75% overall attendance in 2014, The Game Show Show ranked as one of GLM’s highest selling shows of all time, especially for an original production, and GLM is hoping to break that record for the show’s return in 2015. The show, though mostly improvised, is currently being penned by The Utility Players, with direction by Levity. “You know you’ve reached comedic gold when we can’t make it through a writing session without crying from laughter,” reveals Levity. Levity has received a lot of inspiration from the fantastic set designed by New York natives, Gabe and Lenora Graham. The overall goal of the entire production, from the set to the cast to the prizes, is to remind the community how important it is to play, just for fun. CINCINNATI, NV PRESENTS “BUSTED!” FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Contact: Steve Emmerich // (530) 412–3010 [email protected] Back in April, producer Steve Emmerich brought the hit storytelling show RISK! featuring Kevin Allison from MTV’s “The State” to Reno for the first time. The show, which took place at the National Automobile Museum, was a success, and Allison aired the stories told that night by local storytellers in two separate episodes, “Reno 1” and “Reno 2”, on his nationally-ranked podcast channel. “This is my first time in Reno, and, wow, you guys have some crazy stories,” confessed Allison while hosting the show. Steve Emmerich and Jessica Levity, founders of Cinncinati, NV, have combined forces again to create another night of crazy stories – this time with the theme “Busted.” Local storytellers will tell true stories of times they were broken, caught red-handed, or saved by the skin of their teeth…the kind of stories you’d never expect someone to have the courage to share on stage. Emmerich and Levity, who met in Reno and later found out they are both from Cincinnati, created this new storytelling series, “Cincinnati, NV”, with the goal of bringing more adult storytelling shows to the community. Storytelling is an ancient art form to which we all have connections, and this series allows a diverse group of people to get on stage a share a piece of their personal history. Storytellers for both nights are Ed Adkins, Steve Emmerich, Stacy Johnson, Michelle Leutzinger and John Wade. The show is hosted by Emmerich and Levity.
